Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Health Law Counsel to join its Regulatory and Transactional Practice in Omaha, Nebraska. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex regulatory and transactional matters and collaborate with a team dedicated to excellence in health law representation.

Duties

  • Advise healthcare providers on regulatory compliance, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Structure, draft, and negotiate various healthcare agreements.
  • Counsel clients on Medicare reimbursement rules and billing compliance.
  • Advise on HIPAA compliance and data security requirements.
  • Analyze corporate governance and operational compliance for healthcare entities.
  • Represent providers in professional discipline matters before state licensing boards.
  • Conduct due diligence and provide regulatory analysis for healthcare transactions.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 6 years of health law experience in a law firm setting.
  • Knowledge of federal healthcare regulatory frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare rules and reimbursement regulations.
  • Familiarity with Nebraska state medical licensing statutes.
  • Experience advising healthcare providers on compliance and transactional matters.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities.
  • Collegial, team-oriented approach.
  • Active bar membership in Nebraska, or eligibility for admission.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
