Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning Attorney in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area. The successful candidate will work with clients on estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters, benefiting from a collaborative environment and strong support.

Duties

  • Advise individuals and families on estate planning, trust administration, and probate strategies.
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents.
  • Handle probate matters from opening the estate through final distribution.
  • Assist personal representatives, trustees, and beneficiaries with administration and distributions.
  • Conduct legal research and develop practical recommendations.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.
  • Coordinate with courts and financial institutions to move matters forward efficiently.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to ensure organized files and timely filings.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in the state where you will practice.
  • 3+ years of trust and estate experience with substantial probate practice.
  • Strong drafting skills for estate planning and probate documents.
  • Excellent communication and client counseling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to leverage firm systems.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in the state where you will practice.

Skills

  • Strong drafting skills for estate planning and probate documents.
