Duties

  • Review pre-litigation files daily to ensure proper treatment and relay medical recommendations to clients.
  • Ensure no gaps in client treatment to minimize delays.
  • Advise case managers on next steps in treatment.
  • Monitor case manager files to verify insurance coverages and resolve liability issues promptly.
  • Handle client complaints and resolve issues with case managers or medical providers.
  • Monitor statutes of limitations and assist in trial preparation.
  • Oversee document management systems and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide clerical and executive administrative support to legal teams.
  • Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support personal injury cases.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence with precision.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Organize case files and maintain accurate records.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in legal proceedings.
  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement.
  • Conduct initial case evaluations and develop case strategies.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers.
  • Prepare demand packages and negotiate settlements.
  • Collaborate with team members for smooth transition to litigation.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize cases.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other lawyers and paralegals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat DC.
  • Bilingual - all languages welcome.
