Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Houston, TX. This role offers the opportunity to work directly on cases from the outset, collaborating with attorneys, meeting clients, and preparing for trial. Duties

  • Work closely with attorneys to implement case strategies.
  • Conduct case workups, including client interviews and evidence collection.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Take and defend depositions; negotiate settlements.
  • Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Maintain regular client communication.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
  • 2-3 years of legal experience (personal injury or civil litigation preferred).
  • Trial experience highly valued (but not required).
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Passion for client advocacy and a desire to grow as a trial lawyer.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong technological aptitude and adaptability, including comfort with AI tools.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
