Duties

  • Represent secured creditors, banks, and mortgage servicers in default processes.
  • Manage and maintain default files in compliance with legal requirements.
  • Review and sign documents such as motions, notices, and affidavits.
  • Compile necessary documents for the default process.
  • Research and analyze legal statutes and decisions.
  • Handle a national portfolio of loans for financial institutions.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity in case management and client systems.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and competently.
  • Utilize case management systems to meet deadlines for pleadings.
  • Maximize client billing opportunities while maintaining compliance.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in the default servicing industry.
  • Exceptional organizational and managerial skills.
  • Excellent proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of New Mexico.
  • Licenses to practice law in other states are a plus.
  • Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac approval is a plus.
