Job Overview

A law firm seeks a junior to mid-level associate with 3-5 years of regulatory experience in the online or land-based gaming space to join their practice in Austin, TX. The successful candidate will support partners and senior attorneys in providing regulatory and compliance advice to leading gaming operators, technology providers, and innovators.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on state and federal gaming laws and regulations.
  • Review and analyze proposed product features for compliance with relevant laws.
  • Engage with new and emerging verticals in related markets.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory filings and supporting documentation for client licensing.
  • Support senior attorneys in advising clients on multistate operational strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary matters.
  • Engage in client meetings, calls, and pitches.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in gaming, sports wagering, iGaming, or related fields.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and communicative.
  • Membership in the State Bar of the office location or ability to become admitted promptly.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar membership.
