Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney to join their team in Florida. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic team focused on creditors' rights and bankruptcy matters.

Duties

  • Maintain hearing schedules and prepare local appearance counsel with clear instructions.
  • Provide timely hearing results internally and to clients as requested.
  • Review and sign pleadings to ensure compliance with rules before submission.
  • Monitor ECFs and dockets, escalating actionable events as needed.
  • Ensure internal and external systems are updated with case-specific information.
  • Provide loan level support and communicate effectively with staff and clients.
  • Guide staff in preparing pleadings and offer templates for assistance.
  • Coordinate with leadership to improve processes.
  • Stay updated on relevant case law and bankruptcy code developments.

Requirements

  • Active bar admission in Florida with good standing status.
  • Admission or ability to be admitted to all bankruptcy courts in Florida.
  • Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Active Florida Bar membership.

Skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in legal writing and documentation.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
