A law firm in Monterey Park, CA, is seeking a Bilingual Family Law Attorney to represent a diverse clientele in various legal proceedings related to family law. The attorney will provide legal counsel, draft legal documents, and collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases to ensure the best legal representation for clients. This role involves conducting research, compiling evidence, preparing for trials, and managing a personal caseload.

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel to clients in family law cases.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases to ensure the best legal representation for clients.
  • Engage in strategy review sessions with clients to understand case facts and goals and prepare Case Plans for each client.
  • Draft legal pleadings and forms, including complaints, declarations, discovery requests, responses, and memorandums.
  • Conduct legal research and compile evidence for cases.
  • Collect, maintain, and organize evidence for all aspects of family law litigation, including trials, motions, and mediations.
  • Prepare for and appear at trials and contested hearings, depending on experience.
  • Manage a personal caseload and ensure proper and timely billing.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a Juris Doctorate Degree or its equivalent as allowed under the State Bar Act.
  • 3-4 years of family law experience.
  • Demonstrated verifiable reputation for integrity and no history of disciplinary offenses as an attorney or in any other capacity.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Clio (or other Case Management Platform).
  • Bilingual in Mandarin/English.
  • Active member, in good standing, of the State Bar of California.
