A law firm in Sudbury, MA, is seeking a Junior Associate Attorney to handle immigration matters, including removal defense, asylum, family-based petitions, and naturalization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for serving the immigrant community, strong academic credentials, and 2+ years of experience in removal defense and business immigration.

 

Job Duties:

  • Handle removal defense, affirmative and defensive asylum, family-based petitions, special immigrant juvenile cases, VAWA, U petitions, naturalization, and other immigration matters.
  • Prepare filings, appeals, and motions for immigration proceedings.
  • Attend USCIS interviews and represent clients in immigration and family court.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with case management and administrative tasks as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in removal defense.
  • 2+ years of experience in business immigration (preferred).
  • Strong academic and writing records.
  • Demonstrated interest in serving the immigrant community.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

 

Skills:

  • Knowledge of immigration law and procedures.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
