A law firm seeks a licensed Attorney to join its team in Allen, TX, and provide high-quality legal counsel and representation. In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues in a collegial, community-focused setting while handling a diverse range of matters.

Duties

  • Oversee client matters from intake through resolution, including initial consultations and case strategy development

  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents as needed

  • Conduct fact and legal research, preparing memoranda and briefs for internal and external use

  • Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and court proceedings when required

  • Manage discovery processes: prepare and respond to written discovery, coordinate document productions, and participate in depositions

  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, options, and potential outcomes

  • Collaborate with internal team members to share insights, develop strategies, and ensure consistent client service

  • Maintain accurate case files, billing records, and related documentation per firm policies

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school

  • Active admission to the State bar (or ability to waive in)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience practicing civil litigation (or comparable experience in transactional matters, if specified)

  • Strong analytical aptitude and the ability to identify and articulate key legal issues

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting persuasive legal documents

  • Proven capacity to manage a busy caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical judgment in client interactions

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic case-management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an American Bar Association–accredited law school

  • Undergraduate degree in any discipline from a regionally accredited institution

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice in [State] (and eligible for reciprocal admission if applicable)

  • Optional: Certification in [relevant specialty, e.g., Civil Litigation or Real Estate Law] is a plus, but not required
