Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney for a full-time remote position specializing in wealth protection and probate law. This role is open to candidates licensed in Arizona or those willing to pursue Arizona admission. The position offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in the U.S., with optional hybrid office time for those in or relocating to Arizona.

Duties

  • Manage informal and formal probate dockets.
  • Handle litigation involving will contests, trust disputes, and fiduciary breaches.
  • Draft and review pleadings, conduct legal research.
  • Take and defend depositions, appear at hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with clients on complex family and inheritance issues.
  • Work with a team using modern systems to ensure efficient case management.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Arizona or willing to pursue Arizona admission.
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience, including state court motion practice and discovery.
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Organized and proactive with the ability to manage multiple cases.
  • Emotionally intelligent with the ability to handle conflict and upset clients.
  • Interest in probate, trust, or estate law is essential.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal research and drafting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
