Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented Litigation Attorney to join its team in Annapolis, MD. This full-time, on-site role involves providing high-quality legal counsel on a wide range of matters, supporting legal research, document preparation, and case management. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, grow, and build a book of business.

Duties

  • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and appeals.
  • Provide expert legal counsel on complex litigation, employment law, and legal ethics issues.
  • Prepare, review, and present legal documents to protect clients' interests.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas for comprehensive solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Prepare and organize exhibits, affidavits, and other supporting documents.
  • Draft administrative filings and advise on legal ethics issues.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date electronic and physical case files.
  • Prepare and file court documents, ensuring procedural compliance.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Assist in preparing deposition summaries and trial exhibits.
  • Apply analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in litigation, focusing on complex matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Experience in legal ethics is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Driven, self-motivated, with the ability to work and lead a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
