Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney in Orlando, FL to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the owner and other attorneys to support the team and uphold the firm's standard of excellence in client service. This full-time position requires managing a caseload and offers opportunities for bonus compensation based on performance.

Duties

  • Take ownership of client cases, assisting in federal immigration proceedings and state court criminal cases.
  • Conduct meetings with clients and recommend strategies.
  • Delegate work to paralegals, specialists, and legal assistants, monitoring their progress.
  • Provide full-service immigration services, including family and employment immigration, and deportation defense.
  • Visit clients in detention centers.
  • Maintain client relationships and prepare legal reports and documents.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
  • Capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrable experience in a law firm setting.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong administrative and managerial abilities.
  • Analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Florida.
