Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for their Trusts and Estates Practice Group in Baltimore, MD. The role involves estate administration, trust administration, and estate planning, requiring expertise in handling complex estates and trusts.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of the probate process.
  • Prepare federal and state estate tax returns.
  • Coordinate income tax return preparation for individuals and fiduciaries.
  • Prepare fiduciary accountings and manage distributions to beneficiaries.
  • Engage in tax planning and coordinate fiduciary income tax return preparation.
  • Draft sophisticated estate planning and transactional documents.
  • Communicate with clients and advisors to implement estate plans.

Requirements

  • Five to seven years of experience with large and complex estates and trusts.
  • Proficiency in drafting estate planning documents.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and business generation aptitude.
  • Experience leading projects and managing client responsibilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of Maryland.

Skills
