Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney to join their Business Practice Group in Madison, WI. This position offers the chance to engage in sophisticated transactions, including domestic and international mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.

Duties

• Assist in structuring, negotiating, and closing M&A transactions.
• Draft and review transaction documents, including purchase agreements and disclosure schedules.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various contract types, such as license agreements and leases.
• Conduct and manage due diligence processes.
• Advise clients on corporate governance and general business matters.
• Support cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas for comprehensive client solutions.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 2 or more years of experience in corporate law and M&A transactions.
• Experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Experience with middle-market transactions.
