Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Intellectual Property Senior Associate to join their Boston, MA office. This role involves engaging in patent prosecution and litigation within the life sciences sector, collaborating with a team of seasoned attorneys.

Duties

  • Engage in patent prosecution and litigation for life sciences clients.
  • Manage and develop patent portfolios.
  • Conduct competitive landscape analyses and assess patentability.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on complex cases.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of post-JD experience in patent prosecution and litigation.
  • Experience with biotechnology, pharmaceutical, gene therapy, medical device, and digital health patents.
  • Admission to practice before the USPTO.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in MA, NY, CA, CO, or DC.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Undergraduate degree in Biology.
  • Life sciences PhD strongly preferred.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice before the USPTO.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
