Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with strong legal writing skills, particularly in pharmaceutical and medical device Daubert/Rule 702 motions practice, to join its Litigation group in Chicago, IL. This position offers a hybrid work environment with regular in-office presence and some flexibility for remote work.

Duties

  • Communicate effectively with clients.
  • Supervise junior associates.
  • Collaborate with experts in the field.
  • Assist with fact development and depositions.
  • Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Contribute to developing case strategy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
  • Extensive experience writing briefs, including Rule 702 and Daubert issues.
  • Experience with products liability litigation.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a nationally recognized school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction of application.
  • Candidates licensed to practice law in New York are encouraged to apply.
