Intake Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Intake Attorney in Plantation, Florida. This role involves engaging with potential clients, providing reassurance, and guiding them through the initial steps of the legal process. The position is based in a fast-paced call center environment, focusing on client intake rather than case management or court representation.

Duties

• Speak directly with potential clients to provide reassurance and clarity.
• Explain the legal process in simple terms to build client confidence.
• Follow up on outstanding calls and unsigned retainers.
• Collaborate with leadership and attorneys for efficient case onboarding.
• Document conversations and assessments accurately in the intake system.
• Evaluate initial merits of potential personal injury cases with the Under Review team.
• Review early case materials to support evaluations.
• Make real-time decisions on case acceptance in line with firm strategy.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• At least 3 years of personal injury experience.
• Exceptional communication and customer-service skills.
• Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced call center environment.
• Litigation experience is a plus, but not required.
• Spanish language skills are a significant advantage.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.

Skills

• Exceptional communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to empathize and guide clients effectively.
• Proficiency in evaluating case merits and making strategic decisions.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
