Business Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support litigation strategies.
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including drafting discovery requests, responding to discovery, and taking and defending depositions.
• Prepare for trial by conducting witness interviews, preparing exhibits, and assisting in trial strategy.
• Argue motions and participate in hearings in both state and federal courts.
• Provide legal counsel to clients on litigation risks and strategies.
• Collaborate with senior partners and other team members on case management and trial preparation.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends in business litigation.
• Attend client meetings, conferences, and industry-related events.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in business litigation at a large law firm or civil litigation boutique.
• Proven experience handling discovery, depositions, and other trial preparation activities.
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Experience in federal and state court litigation.
• Familiarity with commercial and corporate litigation matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials (top-tier law school preferred).

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar is required.
• Admission to practice before federal courts in California is a plus.
