Duties

• Handle personal injury cases from initial consultation through resolution.
• Draft and file pleadings, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct depositions and witness interviews.
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
• Prepare and argue motions in court.

Requirements

• Active state bar license in good standing with 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Excellent research, legal brief writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work on a team and be responsive to other lawyers and clients.
• Willingness to work hard, often on short deadlines.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Member in good standing and active in the Michigan Bar or ability to become licensed.

Skills

• Exceptional writing, speaking, and people skills.
• Former appellate clerkship is desirable.
• Law review experience and high academic achievement is desirable.
