Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Probate and Estate Planning Attorney in San Antonio, TX. This role is ideal for a Texas-licensed attorney with a strong work ethic and experience in estate planning and probate. The position offers autonomy and the opportunity to excel in a dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, briefs, and memoranda with proper citations.
  • Conduct research on statutes, case law, and complex legal issues.
  • Appear in state courts for negotiations, advocacy, and trials.
  • Review documents and records; interview prospective clients.
  • Provide tailored legal advice and consultations.
  • Use case management software for time tracking and record maintenance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training seminars, and community activities.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business, estate, and/or elder law.
  • Established client base and consistent referral sources.
  • Litigation and trial experience is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze complex documents and deliver effective presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
