Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney for its remote practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm's first party property, professional liability, and general casualty defense practice while collaborating with a national team.

Duties

• Communicate regularly with clients and develop relationships.
• Advise clients on case status, arbitrations, and proceedings.
• Prepare and respond to discovery.
• Draft legal analysis memoranda, briefs, and reports.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare and respond to motions and engage in motion practice.
• Appear before courts and at hearings.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Consideration for first-year attorneys with prior civil litigation exposure or relevant experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
