Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Private Clients, Trusts & Estates group in Chicago, IL. The role involves working with two partners on high-volume practices, managing significant multi-line and multi-generational client matters, and advising family offices on sophisticated planning strategies.

Duties

• Manage client projects from inception to conclusion, including task list preparation and timeline management.
• Lead teams to project completion and adapt plans as needed based on new information.
• Advise on lifetime and testamentary planning strategies and supervise tax implication research.
• Prepare client educational materials and communicate directly with clients to advance their goals.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in Illinois.
• Strong academic record and professional skills.
• Experience managing client projects and supervising younger attorneys.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet client deadlines on short notice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
