Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level Tax Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, California. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other strategic transactions.

Duties

• Manage components of transactions independently.
• Handle domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings.
• Advise on private equity and hedge fund matters.
• Provide guidance on real estate and REIT taxation.
• Engage in complex capital markets transactions.
• Assist with bankruptcy and workout processes.
• Participate in structured finance and securitization.
• Support lending and project finance initiatives.
• Advise start-up and early-stage companies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a federal transactional tax practice.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
• Active member of the New York Bar or California Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar membership in New York or California.
