Duties

• Prepare and file patent applications.
• Determine the potential for granting patents and monitor infringement possibilities.
• Educate and counsel clients on relevant legal issues.
• Develop and manage client relationships.
• Provide litigation support on pending applications as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• One year of experience or related patent application experience required.
• Must be a member of a state bar.
• Must have passed the US patent bar exam.
• Experience in preparing patents for chemical applications is essential.
• Writing sample required.
• Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience is acceptable.

Education

• JD or LLM, or foreign equivalent, in Law required.

Certifications

• Membership in a state bar.
• Successful completion of the US patent bar exam.
