Job Overview:
A highly respected law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney with significant experience in land use and water rights law to join its Wenatchee, Washington office. The role involves providing legal counsel to both public and private clients on a wide range of zoning, development, and water rights matters. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with at least eight years of experience looking to lead complex matters while contributing to a collaborative legal team.

Location:

  • Wenatchee, Washington

Duties:

  • Advise public and private clients on Washington land use and water law matters

  • Handle water right applications, including new filings, changes, and assignments

  • Oversee land use applications such as rezones, conditional use permits, subdivisions, short plats, site plan reviews, and planned unit developments

  • Provide ongoing legal counsel regarding compliance with federal, state, and local laws

  • Draft and review contracts, deeds, leases, and easements

  • Represent clients in judicial litigation, administrative hearings, and appeals

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and draft detailed legal memoranda

  • Maintain professional and timely communication with clients

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience

  • Deep understanding of Washington land use and water rights laws

  • Ability to manage complex and diverse case matters independently

  • Experience with both public and private sector legal issues

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington or eligible for Washington Bar admission within one month of hire

Skills:
