Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves providing legal services in estate planning, trust administration, tax compliance, and probate matters. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to develop personalized estate plans, administer trusts and estates, and represent clients in probate proceedings. Duties

• Meet with clients to discuss estate planning goals and develop tailored plans.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
• Advise on tax-efficient strategies for estate and wealth transfer planning.
• Assist executors and trustees in estate and trust administration.
• Oversee distribution of trust and estate assets.
• Prepare and file probate petitions and related court filings.
• Provide counsel on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues.
• Build and maintain client relationships, offering ongoing support.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in trusts and estates law.
• Experience with preparation of transfer tax returns is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Must be licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.

Skills

• Strong client relations and communication skills.
• Ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
• Knowledge of federal and state estate and tax laws.
