Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Palm Bay, FL to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury, and will handle various aspects of personal injury claims. This role offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful work and develop expertise in personal injury law.

Duties

  • Assist with personal injury case screening, intake, and signup.
  • Process new cases, including opening cases and dealing with adjusters.
  • Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters.
  • Supervise and monitor client treatment.
  • Oversee the ordering and obtaining of client medical and billing records.
  • Review liability and medical/billing records for settlement preparation.
  • Prepare cases, legal strategies, and documents diligently.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, such as depositions and trials.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Manage a robust caseload.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed in Florida.
  • 3-5+ years of litigation experience.
  • Comfortable attending court hearings and trials.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.

Skills

  • Experience with case evaluation and legal strategies.
  • Experience with settlement negotiations.
  • Excellent negotiation and client interaction skills.
  • Strong research and writing abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and work ethic.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Florida personal injury issues.
