Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Finance Associate to join the Banking and Finance Practice Team in Kalamazoo, MI. This role involves assisting in a variety of transactions representing commercial lenders and borrowers, including working capital lines of credit, term loan facilities, real estate facilities, and asset-based lending.

Duties

  • Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting credit facilities.
  • Represent both borrowers and lenders in commercial finance transactions.
  • Manage single- and multi-bank deals, including secured and unsecured facilities.
  • Maintain high responsiveness and attention to detail across multiple projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of experience in commercial finance transactions.
  • Experience with both borrowers and lenders in finance deals.
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional customer/client service skills.
  • Admission to the Michigan bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Michigan.
