Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Projects Tax Associate with a strong interest in renewable energy and the energy transition to join its project finance group. This position is available in multiple locations, including Washington, D.C., New York, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, San Antonio, San Francisco, and St. Louis. The role involves supporting senior associates and partners on projects related to solar, wind, geothermal, and other renewable energy initiatives.

Duties

  • Support senior associates and partners in project finance transactions.
  • Work with project developers, lenders, and investors on renewable energy projects.
  • Engage in cutting-edge developments in federal tax law.
  • Collaborate with leading practitioners in the field.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years' experience as a tax lawyer.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy incentives and partnership taxation preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Prior work experience within a large law firm is preferred.

Education

  • LLM in taxation is preferred.

Certifications

  • No specific certifications required.
