Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Premises Liability Pre-Suit Attorney to join their office in Detroit, MI. The successful candidate will manage pre-litigation work and guide clients through the case process, focusing on personal injury cases, primarily automotive.

Duties

  • Handle day-to-day pre-litigation work.
  • Complete the Flip-to-Lit approval process.
  • Guide clients through the case process.
  • Draft and file pre-litigation documents.
  • Complete TD approval for liability issues.
  • Oversee settlement negotiations and demand package formation.
  • Manage the release approval process.
  • Lead a team of 6-10 Case Managers.
  • Drive compliance and KPIs among the team.
  • Conduct EUOs, PIP statements, and recorded statements.

Requirements

  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the MI State Bar Association.
  • 2+ years of premises or personal injury experience.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of pre-lit cases.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
  • Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Education

  • Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Active membership with the MI State Bar Association.
