Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in civil litigation to join their Denver, CO office. This role offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and mentorship from seasoned trial attorneys. The position supports an active multi-state litigation docket focused on general liability and commercial matters, including premises liability, first-party property claims, commercial casualty matters, and trucking.

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload with increasing autonomy.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and case strategy sessions.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with senior attorneys.
• Develop strong trial-ready litigation skills in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Active Colorado law license (required); additional licensure in surrounding states is a plus.
• Solid legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Experience with motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ownership mindset and pride in producing high-quality work.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
