Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Prosecution & Litigation Associate to join their Electrical Engineering & Software Team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intellectual property, particularly in drafting and patent prosecution, with expertise in computer science or electrical engineering.

Duties

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications.
  • Engage in litigation related to patent disputes.
  • Collaborate with a team on complex legal matters.
  • Provide strategic advice on patent-related issues.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of legal experience in patent prosecution and litigation.
  • Admitted to the USPTO.
  • Licensed to practice law or eligible for licensure in the state of employment.
  • Experience with wireless communication standards (5G, 6G, 3GPP) is preferred.
  • Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.

Education

  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.

Certifications

  • USPTO registration.
