Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Litigation Manager specializing in Personal Injury to join their legal team in Sherman Oaks, CA. This role involves overseeing the early stages of personal injury claims, ensuring efficient case management, and facilitating settlement negotiations. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful legal work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Manage and oversee a team of 15-20 staff, including case managers and medical collectors.
  • Supervise and ensure timely handling of high-volume personal injury caseloads.
  • Track and enforce all statute of limitations deadlines to prevent filing lapses.
  • Handle Minor's Compromises and Client Statements.
  • Conduct Examinations Under Oath.
  • Implement and enforce workflows, processes, and quality control standards.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and case milestones.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to maintain efficiency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of personal injury law and familiarity with related areas such as workers' compensation law.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Experience with Filevine.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing a high-volume personal injury firm.
  • Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and team management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of California.
