Cyber, Privacy, and Data Innovation Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A global law firm is seeking a junior Litigation Associate to join its Cyber, Privacy, and Data Innovation practice in Austin. This role involves working on sophisticated cyber, privacy, and data-related litigation matters, including class actions, for clients across the technology, finance, life sciences, and energy sectors.

Duties:

• Support complex litigation matters involving cybersecurity, privacy, and data innovation issues
• Assist with all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, hearings, and mediations
• Draft motions, mediation statements, and other litigation-related documents
• Prepare for depositions, hearings, and other court proceedings
• Work directly with clients on litigation strategy and case management
• Collaborate with litigation support and eDiscovery teams to manage complex discovery matters
• Participate in class action and other high-stakes litigation matters across multiple industries

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of complex civil litigation experience
• Experience with cyber, privacy, or data-related litigation strongly preferred
• Strong academic credentials and litigation foundation
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

Education and Certifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Membership in the TX State Bar is required
