Private Clients, Trusts & Estates Senior Associate / Counsel / Income Partner

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate, Counsel, or Income Partner to join its Private Clients, Trusts & Estates practice in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will work closely with two partners on significant multi-line and multi-generational client matters, providing sophisticated legal solutions and developing client relationships.

Duties

• Advise family offices and closely-held business owners.
• Develop and implement sophisticated lifetime and testamentary planning strategies.
• Supervise research and projection of tax implications of planning techniques.
• Prepare client educational and summary materials.
• Meet and communicate directly with clients to advance their goals.
• Manage client projects from inception to conclusion.
• Supervise junior attorneys.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing in the jurisdiction of practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Experience managing client projects and leading teams.
• Strong understanding of income, fiduciary, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax regimes.
• Willingness to complete projects on short notice to meet client deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
