Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Toxic Tort / Latent Injury Attorney in New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toxic tort and latent injury litigation, including trial experience. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex cases, representing a diverse range of clients in a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Duties

  • Manage a sophisticated caseload involving toxic tort, latent injury, and complex product liability matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Develop and execute effective defense strategies using scientific, medical, and technical evidence.
  • Provide strategic legal guidance to clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and experts to drive favorable outcomes.
  • Stay current on legal developments affecting toxic tort and environmental litigation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Louisiana State Bar and in good standing.
  • Experience in insurance defense litigation, including trial experience.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Louisiana State Bar.
