Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with approximately four years of experience to join its team in Lansing, Michigan. This role offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated commercial litigation work, with significant responsibility from the outset.

Duties

• Draft substantive briefs and dispositive motions.
• Manage discovery processes effectively.
• Take and defend depositions with appropriate support.
• Prepare witnesses for litigation proceedings.
• Work directly with clients to address their legal needs.

Requirements

• Approximately four years of commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills.
• Experience with depositions and discovery.
• Comfort in managing assignments independently.
• Licensed in Michigan or Ohio, or eligible for admission by examination or waiver.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Michigan or Ohio.
