Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team in Fargo, ND, and/or Moorhead, MN. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights, handling complex litigation matters and advising clients on legal risks.

Duties

  • Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes and business torts.
  • Provide legal counsel on bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and develop case strategies.
  • Advocate for clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop legal solutions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Dakota and/or Minnesota State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
  • Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Trial experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the North Dakota and/or Minnesota State Bar, or eligibility for admission.
