Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to lead and manage its Ocala, Florida office. This on-site position requires a motivated attorney to handle both pre-litigation and litigation matters while overseeing office operations and staff management. The ideal candidate will maintain high standards of client service and contribute to the firm's growth.

Duties

  • Manage a personal injury caseload from pre-suit through litigation.
  • Conduct case evaluations and develop legal strategies.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Negotiate settlements in pre-litigation and litigation phases.
  • Oversee and manage Ocala office staff.
  • Ensure office performance aligns with firm standards and client service expectations.
  • Maintain strong client communication and case management practices.

Requirements

  • Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • Minimum 5 years of personal injury experience (both pre-litigation and litigation required).
  • Proven courtroom and deposition experience.
  • Strong negotiation and case management skills.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in-office in Ocala, FL.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
