Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced estate planning attorney to join their team in Norwood, MA. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in estate planning, tax strategy, and trust administration, and will be committed to building a long-term practice serving individuals and families.

Duties

  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
  • Advise clients on estate planning strategies tailored to their goals and family needs.
  • Handle trust funding, trust and estate administration, and probate-related matters.
  • Build strong client relationships and collaborate with advisors and senior attorneys.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in estate planning and trust and estate administration.
  • Strong drafting experience with wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and related planning documents.
  • Strong experience with probates and trust administrations, including fiduciary accountings.
  • Knowledge of income, capital gains, estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax issues.
  • Experience with estate tax returns.
  • Special needs planning and elder law experience are a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • LL.M in taxation preferred.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.

Skills

  • Proficiency in handling complex estate planning needs.
