Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Managing Attorney in Fort Myers, FL. This role involves providing legal leadership and operational oversight as the firm expands. The Managing Attorney will ensure strong case management, team performance, and consistent client service, focusing on client engagement, case timelines, and quality outcomes.

Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient case progress.
  • Monitor and adjust key performance indicators for productivity and client outcomes.
  • Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for consistency.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast workload and allocate resources.
  • Coach and mentor attorneys and support staff for professional development.
  • Maintain high client service levels through clear communication and issue resolution.
  • Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks to increase efficiency.
  • Maintain substantive legal knowledge in estate planning.
  • Review legal work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Guide attorneys on complex estate planning cases.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Uphold ethical standards and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of legal experience (Estate Planning preferred).
  • Experience leading and mentoring legal teams.
  • Ability to use data and metrics for decision-making.
  • Experience improving legal workflows and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and commitment to client service.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.
