Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Immigration Attorney in San Antonio, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and removal defense, with a passion for advocating for immigrants' rights. This role requires the ability to travel nationwide and to the firm's headquarters in Seattle, WA, as needed.

Duties

  • Provide legal representation in immigration court and before USCIS.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration matters.
  • Represent clients in removal defense and various hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and review motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Review family petitions and immigration applications.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Stay current on immigration laws and policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Travel nationwide for court hearings and client meetings.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience in immigration litigation.
  • Experience in immigration courts and administrative proceedings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload.
  • Experience with immigration applications and relief.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel nationwide.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
  • Membership in WA, FL, or IL state bars is a plus.
