Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced full-time Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in a defense law firm for its Tampa, FL office.

Duties

• Manage full case load from inception to post-trial.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery demands, responses, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare reports to insurance carriers regarding case status.
• Prioritize workload based on deadlines.
• Meet billing requirements.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Professional interaction with attorneys, paralegals, and office staff.
• Ability to delegate and prioritize tasks as necessary.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ProLaw experience is a plus.

Education

• Member in Good Standing of the Florida Bar.
