Attorney - Patent Prosecution

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution for its Intellectual Property practice in Milwaukee, WI. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Duties

• Prepare and prosecute patent applications.
• Respond to U.S. Patent Office actions.
• Direct non-U.S. associates on international patent matters.
• Provide patent-related counseling and opinions.
• Support patent litigation and Patent Trial and Appeal Board matters.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin.
• Registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a strong work ethic.
• Strong academic credentials.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software, Computer Science, or Physics preferred.

Certifications

• Wisconsin Bar license.
