Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Renewable Energy Transactions Associate Attorney in Kansas City, MO. This role offers the opportunity to join a sophisticated national practice within the Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division, focusing on renewable energy projects.

Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys in the Renewable Energy group.
  • Engage in project development, commercial, financing, and transactional work.
  • Negotiate, draft, and close complex commercial agreements.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in renewable or conventional energy transactions, or related fields.
  • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission in Missouri.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Missouri or eligible for admission without examination.

Skills

  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, financing, real estate, and/or project development.
  • Familiarity with tax credit matters, including ITCs or PTCs, is a plus.
