Job Overview

A highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Family Law Litigation Attorney to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in family law and a strong background in litigation. This position requires the ability to manage cases from inception through trial, collaborate with staff, and effectively counsel clients.

Duties

• Meet billable hours and revenue requirements
• Manage all aspects of caseload, including motion practice, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial
• Develop and implement case strategy plans aligned with client goals
• Ensure timely filing of legal documents and adherence to deadlines
• Draft high-quality pleadings, motions, and correspondence
• Provide outstanding oral advocacy in court proceedings
• Effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Collaborate with legal staff to ensure case progression
• Handle sensitive client information with professionalism and confidentiality
• Stay updated on court procedures, rules, and legal developments
• Utilize legal technology, case management, and billing software

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in family law litigation
• Strong oral advocacy and legal writing skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple cases
• Exceptional interpersonal and client counseling skills
• Ability to strategize and execute legally sound case plans

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Utah Bar license (Required)
