Job Details:

Duties:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in patent law and relevant technologies.
  • Provide legal advice and support on intellectual property issues.

Requirements:

  • A degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field with several electrical engineering courses is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • 3 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications is preferred.
  • Experience with computer-aided drafting/modeling programs is preferred.
  • Curiosity to learn technologies outside of the field of study is a plus.
  • Work experience in the electrical engineering field is preferred.

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field is required.
  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school focused on intellectual property law is preferred.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar and registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is required.
