Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Family Law Attorney to join their team in Tarrant County, TX. The ideal candidate will guide clients through challenging family law matters with empathy and expertise, contributing to a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

  • Advocate for clients in divorces, child custody cases, modifications, and enforcements.
  • Handle contested hearings, mediations, and negotiations with appropriate mentorship.
  • Prepare persuasive legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and orders.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Develop case strategies alongside a talented legal team.

Requirements

  • 1-7 years of family law or similar litigation experience.
  • Confidence in the courtroom with a willingness to develop additional skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage cases efficiently.
  • Empathy and interpersonal skills to support clients during sensitive times.
  • Familiarity with Tarrant and Denton County courts (preferred).
  • Proficiency with legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.

Skills

  • Interest in or experience in family law and courtroom litigation.
