Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in the Virgin Islands. The ideal candidate will manage a significant volume of cases in creditor's rights and demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. This role requires familiarity with the Virgin Islands legal system and a commitment to superior client support.

Duties

• Handle a significant volume of creditor's rights cases.
• Resolve issues in discovery practice and depositions.
• Engage in conflict resolution and appellate advocacy.
• Make court appearances and travel as required.
• Develop relationships to enhance the firm's industry presence.

Requirements

• Member in good standing of the Virgin Islands Bar.
• Newly licensed attorneys or those with 5+ years of litigation experience.
• Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Commitment to client support and professional judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar License in the Virgin Islands (required).
• Additional state licenses are a plus.
